Within seconds of meeting Leah I felt I was chatting to an old friend. Before I even took my shoes off I was deep on a tangent about an audiobook by Malcom Gladwell I was listening too on the way up. She made us coffee and there was no rush to get the shoot started, we continued to chat for a while. No rush, her house built in 1823 is a testament to moving slowly and calmly.

We spoke about the house and its history, everything there has a story. We chatted about how we weather the slow times of being self employed and the photos kind of rolled along as secondary element.

This shoot was all about what happens when the busy season ends. A behind the scenes when the curtain has already been dropped.

Thank you Leah for trusting me in your home and for the lovely shoot!
